Lemon Grove in San Diego County took its name after its historic roots in which lemons once grew in abundance. A convenient location only 12 miles from San Diego International Airport, downtown, and beaches has allowed Lemon to prosper. In the early 1900s, while it was still part of the City of San Diego, several notable people chose to set down family roots in Lemon Grove.
