Over the years, Saurets Zinfandel has been recognized by Wine Spectators Top 100 wines of the year and best in the world by Wine Enthusiast. He has been honored twice by the California Mid State Fair as Grower of the Year. This vineyard consists of 6+ Acres of world famous Richard Sauret Clone Zinfandel, approx. 3 acres Petite Sirah, and 2+ acres of Alicante Bouschet. In the past, the fruit has been sourced to Opolo, Eberle, Grey Wolf, Castoro, Peachy Canyon and J. Lohr. The last couple of harvests have gone to Eberle Wines exclusively. These prized head trained goblet shaped vines are deeply established in their gravely limestone soils and thrive in the northwest side micro-climate. Yards of decomposed granite have been added to the road making access easy and smooth. Power is on subject property at the well and also available on the adjacent parcel to bring power for development. The northern property line backs up to the Camp Roberts back country.
