Community Profile
Located within the unincorporated northeast end of San Diego County, Bonsall is a small community of approximately 30,000 residents. Nestled in the foothills of the Peninsular Mountain Range, Bonsall's landscape features a series of hills and valleys. The hilly valley topography has given rise to low-density estate-type homesites and agricultural land uses. Bonsall is also renowned for the Vessels Stallion Farm, the producer of renowned racehorses for over 20 years.
Bonsall Real Estate
The rural Bonsall real estate comprises roughly 21,042 acres that are secluded from the major "big box" merchants that come standard with most communities. As you gaze at the horizon, you will see mountains and trees instead of infrastructure and development. Even the denser Bonsall developments boast spectacular views. Bonsall homes for sale include a mix of older and newer homes, vacant lots, luxury estates, condominiums, and ranches and farms.
Housing prices in Bonsall vary greatly because of the variety of property types and sizes available in the area. Buyers pining for a more simple life in the countryside will discover a great place to enjoy nature, horses, and wine at a slower pace. Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere where neighbors are friendly and personable. What's more, homeowners drive a short distance for the city amenities available at Oceanside, Escondido, San Marcos, and Vista.

For a day on the greens, a bit further south on the east side of Interstate 15 is Welk Resort San Diego which is home to two golf courses.
For those in search of a great spot to view wildlife, the Bonsall Preserve, a 27-acre wetland area is located near the northwestern corner of the community. A volunteer-built boardwalk allows residents to view the preserve and its wildlife. For a more hands-on wildlife experience, consider visiting Wild Wonders Zoofari.
