East Village Homes for Sale

Despite the commercial make-up that is thriving today, East Village started as a warehouse and industrial district. The area did not witness much residential development until 2005. East Village homes for sale include a mix of single-family, multi-family complexes, and condos in a variety of midrise and high-rise residential buildings.

Petco Park—home of the San Diego Padres—has largely contributed to the new development in the surrounding areas. Scattered throughout the neighborhood are studios, artist's lofts, galleries, and shops. Areas that are dominated by single-family units include Redwood Park, El Cerrito Heights, Rolando Park, and Webster.

Buyers also have a choice of multi-family complexes at Oak Park and along El Cajon Boulevard. Homes for sale in El Cerrito boast a cool breeze with views of central San Diego. With that said, the wide array of property types and styles available in East Village real estate is the largest in all Downtown San Diego.

Living in East Village & Community Highlights

You do not have to drive out long distances to pack your weekend full of fun activities as East Village is home to an array of recreational opportunities. Laugh yourself silly and take in a fabulous stage production at the many stand-up comedies and outdoor shows in the area.

Foodies will particularly enjoy taking an early lunch in an outdoor patio along Oak Park Drive and Redwood Street. For some generous servings of sushi, head on to College Grove. Discover eateries serving Indian, Thai, and Chinese cuisine along home Avenue and Euclid Park.

Restaurants serving Mexican delicacies are scattered all along University Avenue, El Cajon, and Federal Boulevard. For a fun night out, head on over to one of the dance clubs along University Avenue. Or shoot pool as you listen to cool country music in one of the local bars along El Cerrito Drive.
